This peaceful, all primitive campground offers a great retreat from city life and technology. Many repeat visitors return for the quiet surroundings and walk-in access to trails for hiking as well as Dow Lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. Campsites are flat and spacious for tents, campers, or RVs. There are no sites with electric or water hook-ups; however, there are water spigots spaced throughout the campground, as well as a dump station at the entrance to the campground. *Non-overnight guests can use the dump station for a $15 fee.

We offer the following:

  •  57 primitive camping sites with fire pits and picnic tables.  NO RESERVATIONS ARE TAKEN—first come, first serve.

  • Two Camper Cabins – each has padded bunk beds to sleep four and a 48-quart cooler.  You must bring your own lighting and bedding.  RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED.

  • Group camp (maximum 150 guests) – separate entrance, water spigot, and outhouse.  Perfect for scouting and church groups, family reunions.  RESERVATIONS RECOMMENDED.

  • Direct access to gorgeous trails and a beautiful lake for hiking, biking, swimming, boating, and fishing.

Pick a campsite, then use a SELF-REGISTRATION envelope from the campground entrance. We do not take reservations for regular campsites. However, reservations are recommended for the GROUP CAMP and CAMPER CABINS.

 

Overnight guests should follow instructions on the registration envelope, which can be found at the front kiosk.  Once a site is chosen, registration (with payment) should be completed—DO NOT WAIT!

Reservations for the group camp or camper cabins can be made by contacting us using email via this site (preferred) or texting/calling 740-707-7200.  NO RESERVATIONS ARE TAKEN FOR REGULAR SITES.

April 1 thru the first Sunday in December, 7 days a week:

  • Campsites: $20/night

  • Camper Cabins: $45/night

  • Group Camp:  $45/night

 

Off-Season Rates

First Monday in December thru March 31, 7 days a week:

  • Campsites:  $15/night

  • Camper Cabins:  $35/night

  • Group Camp:  $35/night

*CAMPGROUND RULES*

  • Must be 18 years old to register.  This person must be present the entire stay.

  • Maximum 6 guests/2 vehicles per site.

  • Maximum stay: 14 nights in 30-day period.

  • No more than one motor home/ camper or two large tents or one large and two small tents per site.

  • No more than two pets are permitted per site.

  • Pets must have updated shots, be on a leash, & not be left alone. Owners must clean up after pets.

  • QUIET HOURS are 10 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • *Generators are permitted to run during quiet hours if neighboring campers approve.  Please be respectful of others when considering running a generator at any hour.

  • Public display and/or consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

  • Fires must be contained in the rings and extinguished when unattended.

  • Cutting firewood is NOT PERMITTED.  No chainsaws/loud power tools.

  • The selling or vending of items is prohibited except by permit and contract with the State of Ohio.

  • Only licensed vehicles may operate in the park.  NO ATVs, GOLF CARTS, DIRT BIKES.

  • BEFORE DEPARTING:  Deposit garbage in a dumpster at either end of the campground.                                             *Leave no trash in fire rings or elsewhere—Thank you!
